Kindergarten Registration

Attention Kindergarten parents!! All parents will still need to come to registration on August 5th even if you're pre-registered. There will be new forms and a signup for a phase in day. Kindergarteners DO NOT start on the 7th of August and teachers will be assigned after phase in and each teacher will contact their families prior to the full start day. Kindergarten Age Requirement: Children entering kindergarten shall be five (5) years of age on or before August 15th of this school year.

You will need to bring the following enrollment materials to your zoned school to complete the registration process.

A certified copy of your child’s birth certificate or officially acceptable evidence of date of birth

Tennessee School Immunization Certificate

* A photo ID of the parent or legal custodian

* Proof of court-ordered custody for a child living with a divorced parent, custodian or guardian

* ZONED FAMILIES will need Two proofs of residency: these documents may be uploaded in the online registration form

- Lease, Mortgage or Deed

- Utility bills (gas, water, electric) within the last 30 – 60 days

- Insurance (home, health, life)

- Government Documents

Special Circumstances

If you are living with a family member or a friend you both will need to provide documents to the school to verify where you are living.

Your family member or friend will need to go to the school with you and provide two different proofs that indicate they are the homeowner or lease holder. They may choose two from the list below:

* Lease, Mortgage, deed or property tax

* Utility bill within 30-60 days - gas, water, electric, phone or cable

* Agency or court documentation, such as, IRS, SS disability...

* Insurance - Medical, Life, Auto or Home

* Employment or Bank Statement

You will need to bring:

** One document showing you no longer live at the previous address. Examples of a document may be termination of a lease, final electric, water, gas bill or a change of address from the Post Office.

** Two different pieces of mail (no junk mail), that has your name with the address of the friend or parent. For example, DHS, government papers, insurance, bank statement or employment...
