The Hump Day Cart

The Barger Hump Day Cart travels to classrooms every Wednesday with treats for teachers and staff!

Once a month, our PTA organizes treats and snacks for our faculty and staff. Parents and guardians, make sure we have your current email on file. You will receive an email from where you can see which items we are collecting and sign up for what you want to drop off. You then purchase the items and drop them off, at least one day before on Tuesdays, to the front office. Make sure when you bring in your Hump Day Cart donations you fill out a "Record of Magnet School Parent Service Hours" and attach your receipt to receive credit. Each month, the email from will let you know what sort of items we need, but some items are ALWAYS appreciated! This includes home baked goodies, bottled water, canned soda, fruit juice, cups, plates, napkins, and single serving coffee pods. One hour is given for every dozen cupcakes, one hour is given for every two dozen cookies, and two hours are given for every cake. Healthy items such as fruit, granola bars, cereal bars, etc are also GREATLY appreciated! If purchasing items, don't forget to attach your receipt to receive credit. For every $10 spent, ONE volunteer hour is awarded.
